The Inner Critic Series

This is part three of a three part series of meditative techniques in our Inner Critic series.

We all have a little voice that passes judgement on all we do. A positive voice is one that judges consequences, warns us of dangers and helps us assess risks. A critical voice, however, is one that judges us as people, damages our self worth and affects self confidence. By observing this inner critic, we realise that it is nothing more than the unhelpful noise of your chattering mind. With this understanding, we can begin to defuse ourselves from the inner critic.

This is a guided meditation to transform the inner critic. We also have a downloadable worksheet, should you wish to put pen to paper at any point in order to work on changing the dialogue inside your head.

Here we have some pointers on how to meditate.

Meditation practice, and this technique, can produce unwanted effects in people who might be more sensitive. We encourage anyone who is unsure about practising this technique to seek appropriate professional support before experimenting with this.
