Guided Meditation: Break the Cycle of Fixed Beliefs

Art by Jem

Sometimes when we make a mistake or when we fail to live up a standard of behaviour in our minds, this triggers a cascade effect of negative self-talk and all the associated feelings associated with having failed at something. Unfortunately this negative voice in our heads can lead us down the path of self-sabotage or self fulfilling behaviours, even when we don’t mean to. Where does this voice come from, or these conditions that set the scene for how we feel about ourselves?

This is a guided meditation to challenge any lingering fixed beliefs that no longer serve you. We also have a downloadable worksheet, should you wish to put pen to paper at any point in order to work on those beliefs in order to challenge their validity.

Here we have some pointers on how to meditate, plus some of our other guided meditations available.

Meditation practice can produce unwanted effects in people who might be more sensitive. We encourage anyone who is unsure about practising meditative techniques to seek appropriate professional support before experimenting with meditation.
