Guided Meditation: Retrace the day

Tackling Sleeplessness Series

This is part one of a three part series of meditative techniques in our Tackling Sleeplessness series.

Sometimes the mind at bedtime is just too busy, it wants to think about things and plan what is happening tomorrow. Recalling the aspects of the day’s activities step-by-step, can be a great way to give that busy mind something else to do. Giving the mind a distraction just enough to allow sleep to come.

Here we have some pointers on how to meditate, plus some of our other guided meditations available.

Meditation practice, and this technique, can produce unwanted effects in people who might be more sensitive. We encourage anyone who is unsure about practising this technique to seek appropriate professional support before experimenting with this.

Change rarely happens in a straight line. Sometimes it looks like greater confidence or a clearer sense of who you are. Sometimes it means questioning an old way of working, leading or relating to other people. The Humanistic Magick Weekly explores what it means to create meaningful, lasting change across personal growth, purposeful work and empathic leadership. Drawing on psychology, coaching, NLP and hypnotherapy alongside reflective and symbolic practises such as meditation and tarot, it brings together ideas for understanding where you are, recognising the change already taking place and finding greater agency over what comes next. Sign up and receive a newsletter every Wednesday. This is your catalyst for inspired change, all in support of improving your work and your lifestyle.
