In today’s fast-paced world, maintaining a healthy work-life balance can be a daunting task. The constant demands of work, personal commitments, and daily stressors often leave us feeling overwhelmed and struggling to find a sense of equilibrium. But what if there was a way to tap into the power of magick to help us achieve a greater sense of balance and wellbeing in our lives?

In this article, we explore how incorporating magickal practises into our daily routines can help us find harmony in our personal and professional lives. From setting intentions and creating safe spaces to using tarot for support, we delve into the practical applications of magick for work-life balance.

Understanding magick and its connection to work-life wellbeing

For us, magick is “the philosophy and art of affecting intended change through unseen causes” which is all about using our energy, intention and belief to create positive change in your life.

Magick is certainly practised in many different ways. For example, we like to follow the rules of astral magick to support our philosophy of humanistic magick. However, other kinds of magick use specific tools, like crystals and some kinds of magick prefer to work more intuitively, without any set rules per se.

When it comes to wellbeing, magick offers a unique approach. It recognises that our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects are all interconnected, and that true balance and wellbeing can only be achieved when all these aspects are in harmony.

We believe that our humanistic magick provides tools and practises that align all of these aspects in order to create a sense of equilibrium. We also believe that it can be safely practised in the workplace to give anyone who has to go to the office that same level of wellbeing, right when they need it.

Embracing the transformative power of magick in your holistic wellbeing journey

The transformative power of magick lies in its ability to shift our perspectives and beliefs to something that is more aligned to what we want to achieve.

By engaging in magickal practises, we open ourselves up to new possibilities and invite positive change into our lives. Magick can help us let go of limiting beliefs, release stagnant energy, and cultivate a mindset of abundance and growth.

One of the key aspects of magick is its focus on intention. Intention acts as the driving force behind magickal practises, directing the energy towards the desired outcome. By setting clear intentions and aligning our actions with them, we can manifest our desires and create a life that is in alignment with our true purpose. This includes worklife.

Visualisation is another powerful tool in magick. We have posted before that visualisation is not just for magick and that by visualising our desired outcomes, we tap into the power of our imagination and create a mental blueprint that guides our actions and helps us attract the necessary resources and opportunities to achieve our goals. These might be personal goals, but they could equally be professional ones.

This means if you are a seasoned magickal practitioner, you don’t have to leave your magickal abilities at the door when you go to work. They are just as useful in work, maybe more so!

Magickal practises for specific areas of wellbeing

Magick offers a wide range of practises that can be applied to different areas of wellbeing, that can be available at work if you’re able to ask for them. Here are some magickal practises you can incorporate into your daily routine to support your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing whether you’re at home or at work:

Physical wellbeing: Finding somewhere quiet for you to go and enjoy being on your own, away from the daily stressors is important. If you sit in one place for long periods, moving about will ensure you remain physically well. If you are able to get your employer to incorporate movement classes like yoga, rather than team sports, this will help keep everyone at work healthy but allow you to align with your magickal side.

Mental wellbeing: Take some time in the day to engage in meditation or mindfulness practises in order to quiet the mind and cultivate mental clarity. This helps bring work-life balance a little closer, especially if you can do this quietly for a few minutes at work on a break.

Emotional wellbeing: It’s possible that your workplace offers some kind of support for employees emotional balance, but even if they don’t you could try journaling and freewriting to release negative emotions or unblock your creative side.

Spiritual wellbeing: Often overlooked at work, there might be a room that you can go in where you can practise meditation or practise divination while you’re on your break. Just ensuring that you are able to practise in your own way without judgement to maintain your work-life balance will be enormously beneficial for your spiritual wellbeing.
