This ‘Silent Letter’ technique comes from Gestalt therapy and it refers to a letter that is never sent in actuality, and instead simply remains private and unsent.This approach allows you to work through any interpersonal or internal conflict. By doing this, insight can be gained into thoughts, emotions and behaviours, and it can allow you to see a situation from a different perspective.
