Guided Meditation: Control the Stress

This week’s guided meditation is for controlling stress. By directly engaging with and removing reactions to the emotions produced by the source of the stress, we can start to control our reactions to a stressful situation. This can be a useful tactic to put some distance between the source of stress and any unpleasant emotions. This in turn can lead to focus more on problem-solving.

Here we have some pointers on how to meditate, plus some of our other guided meditations available.

Meditation practice can produce unwanted effects in people who might be more sensitive. We encourage anyone who is unsure about practising meditative techniques to seek appropriate professional support before experimenting with meditation.

Change rarely happens in a straight line. Sometimes it looks like greater confidence or a clearer sense of who you are. Sometimes it means questioning an old way of working, leading or relating to other people. The Humanistic Magick Weekly explores what it means to create meaningful, lasting change across personal growth, purposeful work and empathic leadership. Drawing on psychology, coaching, NLP and hypnotherapy alongside reflective and symbolic practises such as meditation and tarot, it brings together ideas for understanding where you are, recognising the change already taking place and finding greater agency over what comes next.
