Guided Meditation: Freewriting aid

Photos by Magenta School of Magick

Freewriting is a writing strategy similar to brainstorming, but is written in sentence and paragraph form without stopping. It increases the flow of ideas and reduces the chance that a good idea, intuitive thought or message from your shadow side will be accidentally censored.

The objective is to write in sentence and paragraph form and to keep the hands moving at all times, potentially even repeating a subject. Anything to just keep the hands moving! When the session ends, look over the thoughts captured for hidden gems.

You’ll need a pen and paper for this guided meditation, but you can substitute this for any technology of you choice. Just remember to modify how you focus on your body, as you are guided along.

Here we have some pointers on how to meditate, plus some of our other guided meditations available.

Meditation practice can produce unwanted effects in people who might be more sensitive. We encourage anyone who is unsure about practising meditative techniques to seek appropriate professional support before experimenting with meditation.
