Rituals for confidence

We know from research that regular confidence rituals serve as powerful anchors that can instantly shift your mental state. We love anchoring because the crossovers with magick are so powerful.

Anchors are kind of like mini rituals that trigger a specific emotional state or response. In NLP, this can be anything from physically touching an anchored object through to repeating a particular word. So in magick we can create positive anchors by performing mini rituals making good use of NLP’s techniques. By doing so we can quickly and effectively shift from one emotional state to another. 

Create an effective confidence ritual

Always begin with intention setting to direct your energy toward desired outcomes. Next you’ll want to choose what is going to be your anchor. Is this an object? Or will it just be a phrase you repeat? If you do choose a physical object, choose something that you can easily bring with you when you need that boost of confidence, such as a small stone. 

To begin your anchoring ritual, choose a time that you can practise this ritual when you won’t be interrupted. Perhaps this is in the morning or the evening. For an extra magickal boost perhaps you want to set your anchor at a particular part of the moon’s cycle. Just ensure you choose a time that will work best for your intentions.

Ritual for Confidence

Ingredients:

– Any object you wish to anchor

Ritual to Perform:

1. As you start the ritual, really focus your thoughts on the moments when you have felt at your most confident. Bring these thoughts, memories and emotions into your mind and as you are doing so, hold your object (if you are using a physical object)

2. Repeat the words “I am confident”.

3. Continue to repeat in your mind, and anchor those thoughts and feelings into your object.

By carrying out this ritual of anchoring your most confident memory to an object of your choice, or the phrase you can repeat, you simple hold the object (or repeat the phrase in your mind) when you need that same boost of confidence.
