Guided Meditation: In This Moment

Photos by Magenta

Being ‘in the moment’ means focusing on just one thing. This might be during a conversation, focusing on listening and not on planning what you will say when it’s ‘your turn’. It might also be focusing on a task, without wanting to be somewhere else. It can also include just being in the moment for the sake of enjoying a moment in time. Perhaps watching a bird, a sunset, a waterfall, without the mind wandering off. Being in the moment allows us to connect with all there is to experience around us, and allows us to be more present in life.

This is a partially guided meditation to invite you to pay attention to your environment and your place within it. It’s a place to start building up your ability to be in the moment.

Here we have some pointers on how to meditate, plus some of our other guided meditations available

Meditation practice can produce unwanted effects in people who might be more sensitive. We encourage anyone who is unsure about practising meditative techniques to seek appropriate professional support before experimenting with meditation.
