Accepting or approving of yourself for who you are does not have to mean you must like and celebrate every aspect of yourself, but it’s a place to start from. Starting with self validation rather than external validation is a first step moving towards self acceptance, self approval and self esteem. It makes it possible to accept any mistakes, and forgive ourselves for these errors.
Meditation practice can produce unwanted effects in people who might be more sensitive. We encourage anyone who is unsure about practising meditative techniques to seek appropriate professional support before experimenting with meditation.
